A Sharlayan youth of twenty-two summers, Ejika devoted himself to his studies that he might overcome his humble origins. His dedication caught the eye of Galuf Baldesion, whose endorsement ensured the boy entered the Studium on scholarship. He received his education at the same time as Krile Baldesion and the Leveilleur twins, for whom he harbored no small resentment.
After graduation, Ejika was approached by numerous organizations, but ultimately chose to cast his lot with the Students of Baldesion, whose eponymous founder he deeply admired. Despite being recognised as an Archon of Sharlayan for his knowledge of destructive magiks and aetherology, he refuses to think of himself as unique or exceptional, and dresses to conceal the Archon brand on his back.

• Ejika greatly dislikes nepotism and general status; he feels people shouldn't get an easy pass on life just because they're from an influential family
• Ejika likes sweets; however, he rarely buys any for himself as he sees it as a waste of money
• Likewise, because he grew up in poverty, Ejika is rather frugal despite getting a generous allowance from the Sharlayan Forum
• Ejika doesn't keep in contact with his family for reasons unknown
• Ejika owns a small apartment in Shirogane where he sleeps between excusions into Eureka
• Ejika knows a Sharlayan variant of Black Magic, though he's curious about its Mhachi origins
